The Tastiest Fish Restaurants

Due to its location directly in the Caribbean Sea, Curaçao is home to numerous excellent fish restaurants. Those who love fish and seafood dishes will definitely get their money’s worth during their visit to this island.

Kas Di Piskado Purunchi

Kas Di Piskado Purunchi is located right on the water and offers several seating areas. From there, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the sparkling sea. The locals of Curaçao particularly appreciate the exceptional freshness of the dishes and the relaxed atmosphere. Even though National Geographic has reported on the restaurant, it is not overcrowded.

The fishermen bring their fresh fish directly there. As a guest, you can watch as it is weighed and immediately processed. You won’t find a fresher fish dish on the island (or anywhere else). If you plan to visit Kas Di Piskado Purunchi, keep in mind that you can only eat there between 12.00 PM and 4.00 PM. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.

De Visserij

Also located directly by the sea, De Visserij often has long lines, but don’t be deterred. Typically, the wait is relatively short. You order at the front counter, where you can choose a fish and some sides you want to eat. The available fish depends on what was caught earlier.

Here too, you get super fresh fish, and the selection varies daily. After you place your order, you receive a number and can sit outside. Once your fish dish is ready, the staff will bring it to your table.

This fish restaurant is particularly popular with Dutch visitors, but tourists from other countries are always welcome. It is open Friday to Monday from 12.00 PM to 9.00 PM.

Wholesome Restaurants in Curaçao with Vegan & Vegetarian Options

As an authentic Caribbean island, Curaçao primarily offers super fresh fish – and there’s no shortage of choices for meat lovers either. With the right restaurant recommendations and tips, however, vegans and vegetarians will also find plenty to enjoy.

La Bohème

La Bohème offers an excellent vegetarian selection, particularly famous for its smoothies. Besides the fruity drinks, there is also a comprehensive menu of various delicacies.

Almost all dishes have a vegetarian version available, including sandwiches, salads, wraps, and pasta. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday from 8.00 AM to 10.00 PM.

Hofi Cas Cora – The Eatery

If you’re looking for a place with vegan, vegetarian, regional, and seasonal options, consider visiting Hofi Cas Cora. It’s a farm where fresh vegetables are grown.

These are not only sold at the market and to restaurants but also used in the adjacent restaurant named “The Eatery”. Since the dishes are made with whatever is currently available, the menu changes daily. In various forms, you can find dishes like egg-based meals, soups, pancakes, quiches, falafel, and salads.

The restaurant is only open Saturdays and Sundays from 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM, so we recommend a visit over the weekend. Since the farm has become very popular, it’s especially advisable to make a reservation for larger groups.
